Naoko Ito’s sculptural series “Urban Nature” embodies my obsession with experiencing and capturing moments of natural beauty, as so eloquently coined by Byron below (a passage which embodies my most intimate of wishes and joys, and one that I haven’t been able to shake from my mind all week since reading):
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
– Lord Byron
