I really wish you all could have been out there today with us, a day spent with trails and tide. The Arroyo Sequit Park is a hidden gem right off Mulholland, a 155 acre ranch turned into public nature preserve which is an easy hike for anyone, and also the site where Emily and my mycological passions were ignited (unfortunately the mycelium had yet to produce any fruiting bodies except for a small trio of Jack ‘o Lanterns). Ended the day watching the California sun sink into the Pacific in a dazzling display of mercurial light and colour splashed across the rising tide. If only each of our days ended in such fashion…
