It matters not where I am, I seek the sun and where it sets, for those last few minutes are often the most glorious gift the day offers. Looking forward to this weekend’s afternoon excursion along the coast with friends, with plans of exploring tidepools, I am hopeful to see my first notable springtime coast sunset.
Below is my collection of photos snapped across the globe during those final minutes before the sun departs, from the view of a fast moving Shenzhen train, to a heartbeat’s moment enjoyed from an abandoned monastery along the Portuguese coastline, to the view outside our very own Silver Lake apartment window. The sunset’s beauty knows no borders, speaks all languages. Remember to take a moment sometime and enjoy those 5-10 minutes…they’re brief, but often unforgettable.
O setting sun! though the time has come,
I still warble under you, if none else does, unmitigated adoration.
