Bianca Chang‘s paper work is one part sculpture and another part typography, each sheet giving her letterforms and abstract shapes a presence which makes you want to glide your fingers across each layer to verify they’re constructed from hundreds of carefully cut and the precisely positions sheets of paper (100% recycled paper, mind you). The patience and exacting detail is quite impressive, if not mind boggling, at least from this shaky handed individual (my X-acto blade muscles have atrophied).
Be sure to watch the animation at the bottom…it puts into perspective how many sheets go into each form.
