If you’re like me, right about now you might be asking yourself, “What is this and how do I get one?!” The Holocene Arc4. The music and LED user interface harkens back to 1970’s era sci-fi films like Logan’s Run and Silent Running (seems like there was a reoccurring theme of running back then).
The previous two-dial Arc was beautiful enough, this the 4 dial version doubles the fun and is arguably as beautiful as any component put out by B&O back in their heydays. Buttons are cool, but dials rule, especially when partnered with sustainably harvested Pennsylvania black walnut and anodized milled aluminum for controls.
At $500 for the two dial and $800 for the 4 dial version, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing one…but I sure wish I was.
